A hiatus from performing

I am taking an indefinite hiatus from performing.

Hopefully, this will be a relatively brief break. I still have a Christmastime gig lined up, but I will not actively pursue scheduling more shows until after the calendar turns to 2026. The key word here is “actively.” If someone approaches me about playing during the next few weeks and months, I’m happy to discuss and, if possible, work out acceptable arrangements. But I won’t be initiating those conversations.

Circumstances beyond my control prompted this decision. Our family is dealing with some major issues that require my full attention and availability. It’s not fair to anyone that I work with professionally to have to deal with uncertainties and less than 100% commitment from me.

This musical adventure has been immensely fulfilling, beyond anything I imagined. I love sharing music with people, whether I’m playing covers or my own creations.

God willing, I will be back out there sooner than later.
